Alanis Morissette and Mario ‘Souleye’ Treadway, her husband, are in courts demanding for the return of their dog Circus which their former housekeeper has kept in custody.
Morissette and her husband Mario ‘Souleye’ Treadway sued Maria Garcia alleging that she is in possession of their pooch by the name Circus and has failed to return it back to them.
The couple who are parents to a two-year-old son Ever adopted the Chihuahua/Pug once they found him on the streets in 2011, after he went unclaimed when they took him to an animal shelter.
In the event after the firing of Maria as the house Manager of the couple in January, she emailed her employers’ business manager indicating that she wanted the “ownership” of Circus to be an inclusion of her severance package because she was close to him since he was left under her care most of the times when the busy musicians went out for tours in their careers.
Conversely, in reference to TMZ, Alanis and Mario have filled a case in Los Angeles County Superior Court requesting their former employee for $25,000 and asking the judges to “order” her to return their pet.
Whereas the legal proceedings continue, the 39-year-old singer has a busy year ahead. She is preparing for a world tour and also working on Broadway musical based on her symbolic music album titled “Jagged Little Pill”.
