
Kate Gosselin, the star in Berks County mom and reality TV show said she will be one of the contestants on Donald Trump’s “The Celebrity Apprentice” according to celebrity website TMZ and U.S. Weekly reports.
This comes ahead of NBC’s show announcement for its cast during the seventh season. But according to the two celebrity news, it is alleged that Gosselin signed a contract to contest on the reality show.
In reference to US Weekly, Gosselin will be joining other reality stars Brandi Glanville of “The Real housewives of Beverly Hill” and Kenya Moore of “The real Housewives of Atlanta” along with other celebrities including Keshia Knight Pulliam of “The Cosby Show,” celebrity journalist Geraldo Rivera, rapper Ludacris, Vivica A. Fox of “Independence Day”, Shawn Johnson, actor Lorenzo Lamas, Ian Ziering “Sharknado” actor, and Gabrielle Reece, a former volleyball.
Gosselin has starred in TLC’ “Jon & Kate Plus 8” as well as “Kate plus 8” in the company of her eight children between 2007 and 2011.
She was also a contestant on ABC’s “Dancing with the Stars” in 2010.
“Celebrity Apprentice” has been airing on Sunday nights and comprises of prominent personalities who raise money and awareness for charity organizations of their choice while trying to avoid getting fired by Trump.
Gosselin emerges as the second person with links to the region to participate in the show. Marco, a race driver, was signed in the last minute by his father Michael Andretti, a Nazareth native, and owner of Andretti Autosport team in the IndyCar Series. Trump fired him during the fourth episode. Talk show host Arsenio Hall emerged the winner during that season.
Martina Navratilova, a former tennis star, former “Baywatch” actor David Hasselhoff and figure skater Johnny Weir are among the expected celebrities who will feature in this year’s show.
In every week, the celebrities perform work in two groups, under the supervision of designated project manager, to contest in business-driven chores around New York, to utilize their prominence and entrepreneurial skills to win challenges.
After each task, they move to boardroom where Trump judges every contestant’s actions.
Whoever is left in the end is named Celebrity Apprentice, and can deliver $250,000 check to their designated charity.
On Thursday, NBC will make the contestant public. Although there is no set premiere date, it is most likely to be aired this summer.
