It is surprising that many stars shared room with their star colleagues in their early years. They may have made it because they were supporting one another and maybe rehearsing together.
Let’s have a look at 10 celebrity pairs who lived together in their early years;
Adam Sandler and Judd Apatow:
These two had a sense of humor that might have helped them survive sharing an apartment in Los Angeles which they were paying $900 per month. Sandler used to sleep on a mattress without sheets and the two would argue over using the bathroom. Apatow is a director, a film producer, an actor, a comedian and a writer. He is best known for his work in cult TV series “Girls”, “Undeclared” and “Freaks and Geeks”.
Conan O’Brien and Jeff Garlin:
It is easy to imagine the laughs these two shared. The two lived in Chicago when they were starting as comics. O’Brien recalls that they would cry because they never had air conditioning and it was very hot at times
Robert Downey Jr. and Kiefer Sutherland:
These two were darlings to teenage girls in the ’80s. Robert Downey Jr. took Kiefer Sutherland in for three years when he first moved to Hollywood from London.
Jonah Hill and Justin Long:
These two started out in Hollywood. They set up what came to be known as bachelor pad. But things did not work out when they started quarrelling over who should clean the house.
Ryan Gosling and Justin Timberlake:
These two cuties must have made the girls next door to salivate. When they were young Gosling’s mother worked in Canada while Timberlake’s mother served as Gosling’s legal guardian. Ryan Gosling and Justin Timberlake were both on “Mickey Mouse Club” and lived under the same roof.
Robin Williams and Christopher Reeves:
These two lived together when they were attending Juilliard School in New York. Robin Williams is a famous standup comedian and an actor while Christopher Reevs is an actor. When Reeves was involved in an accident, Williams promised to pay any outstanding bill that could not be covered by Reev’s insurance.
Al Gore and Tommy Lee Jones:
Al Gore is the former vice president while Tommy Lee Jones is an actor. The two were roommates at Harvard University.
Marilyn Monroe and Shelley Winters:
Shelley Winters was a popular actress in the 50’s and 60’s. She won Academy awards for her roles in “A Patch of Blue” and “The Diary of Anne Frank”. When her family moved to Los Angeles from New York she shared an apartment with Marilyn Moroes. By then Monroes was just but a little-known actress who had just arrived from Compton, Calif.
Stanley Tucci and Ving Rhames:
Stanley Tucci and Ving Rhames attended Purchase College in New York. Tucci also lived with “Pulpfiction” actor Irving Rameses. Stanley Tucci and Ving Rhames did not know that they would both star in some of the most popular movies of their times.
