After watching Guardians of the Galaxy, you probably told yourself, you want to have your own Baby Groot.
Here are steps on how to make a homemade Baby Groot:
First you must have the right materials.
- Movin’ and Groovin’ Dancing Flower Toy you can buy at eBay for $27 (warning this toy may be for bidding at $405).
- Tan felt
- Polymer Clay
- Acrylic paint in different shades of brown
- Black Beads
- Jewellery Wire
- Brown Crepe Paper
- Brown Twine
- Sculpting Tools
- Scissors
- Sewing pins
- Glue or Glue Gun
First, take out the vinyl that surrounds the base of the dancing flower toy. Cut the head of the dancing flower with your scissor.
Then, pin the tan felt around the toy’s stem. Make sure it is not so tight so that the toy can still move.
Put details by wrapping it with brown twine to look like branches. Put dots of glue on the felt to secure it.
Paint the twine and the felt to blend the colour and make it look like a real baby tree.
Mould the head using your polymer clay. Use the black beads as eyes.
Wrap the crepe paper on jewellery wire until they look like branches. Braid them and twist your brown twine around it.
Make sure you paint the appropriate spots to make it look like an authentic tree.
Turn on the switch and see how cool it looks. Finally, do some work out so that you will look like Drax or Gamora.
