The product has been reformulated with the special complex, Multi-Action Brightening System. Combined with essential skin vitamins, including Vitamin C, and natural plant extracts, including resveratrol and white lilac, this new formulation promises to target problematic dark spots and give the skin an instantly brilliant, superbly luminous complexion.

Shiseido also infuses this reformulated product with new complex formulations, ProBright MR and MSK. The resulting serum is lightweight, and easily and deeply penetrates skin, allowing skin healing and repair to happen deep down. This new complex is a product of an intensive R&D that reportedly involved some 4,000 ingredients.

Expect moisture-rich skin and spotless beauty with regular use. Each 30 ml bottle costs approximately US$125.

Advantages

The Shiseido White Lucent Total Brightening Serum does contain ingredients that make the skin feel ultrahydrated and look healthy and supple.

Disadvantages

As for lightening dark spots, there may be minimal positive results from plant extracts and Vitamin C found in this product’s formulation. However, visibly spotless skin may not be a realistic goal to achieve with product use because of the low concentration of these ingredients.

Skin brilliance resulting from this product may be expected because mica is one of the ingredients albeit, the luminous effect is only temporary.

The Shiseido White Lucent Total Brightening Serum is blended with ProBright 4MR, 4MSK, pyrola incarnate extract, white lilac, resveratrol, Bulgarian rose oil, and rosenium which together instantly brightens skin and inhibit melanin production for that ultimate luminosity and radiance. Hesperidin and Vitamin E boosts skin moisture to achieve healthy looking skin with a natural glow.

Based on an in-house product study conducted by Shiseido, the following results were achieved among subjects:

  • After 10 days:
    • 93% brightening effect
    • 83% more even-toned skin
    • 72% reduction of dark spots
    • 75% reduction in yellowness

Over All
Although Shiseido claims to have developed advance complexes for this fifth generation of the Shiseido White Lucent Total Brightening Serum, details as to what exactly is infused in this complex and what it does is lacking. There also seems to be nothing special about the natural plant extracts infused in this product. As customer feedbacks reflect, however, the product may have different results for different people. Whether you are willing to shell out US$125 to see how your skin reacts to this product or not is totally your call.
