About Stila
What started out as a vision of makeup artist Jeanine Lobell, came into being as Stila Cosmetics in 1994. Since then, Stila rapidly grew and created some of the most successful brands in makeup and has managed to break into the fragrance business as well.
With its growth came several financial setbacks which facilitated exchange of management over Stila. Estee Lauder acquired Stila in 1999 then later sold it to Sun Capital in 2006. Since 2009, Stila Cosmetics has become Stila Corporation when it was acquired by Lynn Tilton Group’s Patriarch Partners, LLC, a holding firm.
What is the Stila Lip Glaze?
Essentially a lip gloss designed to moisturize and soften lips but uniquely formulated to deliver just the right amount of pigment to match your every mood and flare. The shiny finish that results after application of Stila Lip Glaze will surely satisfy your whims and give you the attention you’ve been craving for.
Stila Lip Glaze is available in 17 shades. The Stila Lip Glaze palette features safe, nude, natural colors which women with a more adventuresome spirits and who want to be daring might find quite boring and ordinary. The product amazingly, satisfactorily delivers ultrashine on your lips but, there’s very little pigment to get exactly the same shade you see from outside of each tube.
The shades, Fairy Dust and Bling are a great addition to any lady’s makeup bag, particularly for those ordinary days when you want to look extraordinarily, effortlessly chic. These shades are almost ready to be worn, and can be easily applied even while you’re trying to get past a busy street during rush hour. Fair skinned or dark skinned women will also love Stila Lip Glaze in Black Cherry and Persimmon. Both are deeper pigmented than the rest of the shades in the brand’s color palette but will not tend to overpower any skin tone.
What are the ingredients used to make Stila Lip Glaze? Are these safe?
There are a number of ingredients used to make Stila Lip Glaze that may raise questions about its safety of use, most especially when used regularly over the long-term. For one, the Stila Lip Glaze is made up of styrene, already classified as carcinogen by the US National Toxicology Center. It will be even more disturbing for vegans to know that this product is also infused with ethylene and propylene, both of which are derived from petroleum. It also contains Silica which can possibly cause skin irritations and allergies.

Plus, the product provides ultrahydration for soft, supple, kissable lips.
Are there any side effects associated with using Stila Lip Glaze?
There are no known or reported side effects either from ingesting or topical application of Stila Lip Glaze. However, given the number of chemicals used in its preparation, the safety of which remains to be in question and still under debate. If whistleblowers and skeptics are correct then, these ingredients just might cause health risks whether immediately or, in the long run.
Health safety issues aside, the container that comes with the Stila Lip Glaze tend to be very annoying. The product does not readily come out once squeezed, and when it does, it spurts way too much product on your lips. Another deal breaker for color lovers is that the Stila Lip Glaze is not very well pigmented. This is alright for the nude and lighter colors but, becomes even more evident with the use of darker shades, such that the Dazzleberry and Persimmon, for instance, appear very dull and lacking in detail.
