The 3 Features to Look for in a High – End Gaming PC

If you have been a console gamer for some time now, you may be tempted to get a gaming PC—a high-end one at that. Unlike console platforms, PCs come in thousands of models with radically different specifications. You need to find a gaming PC to get an experience that’s seamless and highly efficient.

The games you can play and the experiences you can have are different than any you’ve ever had on consoles. But it’s actually the hardware that allows for the best performance. If you want the best gaming experience, you may want to consider looking for a gaming PC that has the right specs.

You don’t need to search long and hard to try to find the ideal gaming PC. You only need to zero in on the features that you need for the most powerful PC experience.

1. An ultra-powerful processor

Whether you are buying a gaming laptop or building your own desktop setup, you may want to focus more on the processor. This is vital especially if you’re keen on running the latest games.

New and upcoming titles like Monster Hunter: World and Battlefield V demand a great deal, hardware wise. These games will also require you to get at least an i7 with four or more cores if you’re planning on playing these games on maximum settings.

Still, a powerful processor would be useless if there’s a lack of other equally powerful components.

2. An efficient cooling system

When you’re in the heat of a Battlefield match, expect your gaming PC to heat up (as well when you’re overclocking it). One thing’s for sure, proper cooling is still pretty much a big deal considering the high-end titles that are being introduced every year.

That being said, it’s wise to focus on the type of cooling system you should look for. There are actually two common cooling systems: fans and liquid cooling. Fans basically provide cooling directly into the casing’s interior. These are best paired with heat sinks that absorb heat while the PC components are being cooled.

However, the accumulation of dust can affect cooling performance, requiring you to clean out the fans and filters every now and then.

Most PC gamers nowadays are looking towards liquid cooling system that use distilled water that runs through the components, providing optimum temperature control. One issue with this system, though, is the possibility of a leak that can permanently damage your gaming PC.

3. A high-performance graphics card

Every year, PC game developers are setting the bar higher when it comes to graphics.

Game design has taken on significant leaps with innovations in graphics rendering. It has become complex to the point that hardware upgrades are required in order to obtain the best experiences in PC gaming.

When choosing a graphics card for your rig, you may as well get something that supports UltraHD definitions. This would be ideal for highly-detailed games. And while most game developers require at least 2GB of dedicated memory, you may have better experiences if you’re using 4GB or more. Ask about DirectX 12 support that’s perfect for the most recent releases.
