Here is the deal, your iPhone has plans to get to know you a lot better. This Monday, Apple revealed its latest mobile operating system, the iOS 9. The new operating system offers a software platform for smartphones and iPad tablets with iOS that can predict in a more efficient manner the interests and needs of its user.

Craig Federighi, a senior vice president of software engineering, said during a conference in San Francisco that new iOS 9 is bringing proactivity and a completely new approach throughout the entire system.

The new iOS 9 will be available this autumn, and it brings many new features. The iPhone will be able to learn about the needs and habits of its user at particular times in a day or in certain locations. For example, the device will be able to load up music selections prior to some regular morning runs. It could also bring up an audiobook a person is listening while driving. iOS 9 can suggest apps to load or people to contact based just on owner’s usage patterns. The operating system comes with Siri updates, and can give Siri a new interface and also give it permission to remind an owner of some upcoming appointments, but without being told to in a first place.

Another very useful feature is that emailed invitations can be immediately added to a user’s calendar application.
Craig Federighi also pointed out that sensitive data won’t be shared with the third parties and that a user has the complete control.

iOS is updated on a regular basis and wants to keep the system fresh all the time. By doing so, they maintain their customer’s interests and make sure that the software developers are doing their part of the deal and produce apps for the platform. These refreshes are important and help Apple to be hand in hand with the competition.

Also, Apple’s Maps were also enhanced, and they have gotten more transit info. That info includes subway station entrances for some major cities like Bay Area, San Francisco, New York, Beijing, schedules and more. The Notes app also got refreshed, and some new features for iPads were made, such as new multitasking feature.

One more fine addition in a form of an app was made called News. The News app is developed to provide users with various news sources all aggregated into one interface, which is easy to read.

Even though Android is largely represented throughout the world, and it powers every third out of four smartphones on a global scale, Apple still enjoys a few advantages over Google’s operating system. Developers tend to release their apps on Apple’s operating system first, because they make more money on iOS, thanks to Apple fans who spend more on mobile devices. Plus, it is easier to produce apps for devices powered by Apple because there are fewer devices in comparison to Android, which has dozens of smartphones, smart watches, and tablets.
