Rumors about the release of Samsung Galaxy ‘A’ series featuring a metallic frame – the A3, A5 and A7 – have been doing rounds after the launch of Samsung Galaxy Alpha.
Now the rumors seem to have been confirmed when a retailer form Kazakhstan ‘Technodom’ listed the Samsung Galaxy A5’s catalogue before its official unveiling. The catalogue revealed its specs and price.
The catalogue shows that the Samsung Galaxy A5 will cost KZT 99,990 in Kazakhstan (about $552 or €435).
The dual-SIM version dubbed as Samsung Galaxy A5 Duos LTE (SM-A500) will have a 5-inch Super AMOLED HD display having a resolution of 720p. Under the hood will be a Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 chipset having a 1.2GHz quad-core processor. It will have 16GB of internal memory with a microSD card slot for memory expansion.
The Samsung Galaxy A5 will be powered by a 2,330mAh battery and will have a 13MP primary camera with LED flash and a 5MP secondary camera. The phone will have 1GB of RAM and will support 4G LTE and NFC. It will run Android 4.4.4 KitKat out of the box.
The listing shows that the handset has a metallic frame and great feel and appearance. It measure 139.9 x 69.7 x 6.7mm and weighs 123g.
Samsung has not disclosed when it will unveil the three handsets, the A3, A5 and A7, but the catalogue is valid up to 11 November indicating that Samsung may make an announcement before then.
