Lenovo Yoga Tablet 2 models are likely to be released with Windows 8.1. They include 10-inch and 8-inch Yoga Tablet 2 devices.
Just a few months ago, HTC made a similar move with the HTC One M8 which is now available with either Windows Phone or Android on the same hardware, but we are yet to see tablet manufacturers allow Android and Windows 8.1 versions of the same device.
The photo leak from TabTech.de shows a 10.1-inch Lenovo Yoga Tablet 2 using Windows 8.1.
Its design appears to be similar to that of the Android version but with the addition of Windows button on the bottom bezel and the tablet’s body. And it comes with a dark gray housing instead of the silver color theme that was used on the Android series.
It is most likely that the Lenovo Yoga Tablet 2 is going to use the same specification as the Android version. That would mean that it will come with an Intel Bay Trail chipset, 16GB of internal storage, full HD resolution screen, and 2GB of RAM.
The device has a cylindrical battery and a kickstand to allow it stand on its own.
Microsoft has lowered or even completely eliminated the cost of licensing Windows 8.1 for tablets, and it is now more likely that we will see more and more tablet manufacturers allow customers the option to choose between the two operating systems.
