1.Kerala: Kovalum is the popular beach in Kerala. Another beach called Varkala is located about 50 kms from Thiruvananthapuram and is the only beach of its kind having steep cliffs. Marari is a fishing village close to Kochi which is known for its serenity and quietness. Northern Kerala has the Bekal beach and Bekal Fort.

2.Goa : Goa never fails to make you fall in love with it ! The awesome beaches, parties and sea-food is what Goa is all about! The beaches namely Baga, Anjuna and Calangute are always bustling with activity. There are quieter ones like the Arca and Cavelossim in South Goa.The Wednesday Flea Market at Arjuna attracts a lot of tourst crowd.

3.Andaman and Nicobar Islands: The Radhanagar beach in Andaman have always made it in the chart of the top ten beaches in Aisa. The white sandy beach with deep blue waters makes Andaman islands almost a heaven on earth.

4.Pondicherry: Is located 160 kms away from Chennai is rich with French architecture and food. The Promenade Beach and the The Serenity Beach at Auroville are usually bustling with activities and is most touristic. The Paradise Beach is quieter and is a bit away from the city. Water sports like Scuba diving is allowed.

5.Gokarna : This beach town is very popular among travelers, especially among the pilgrims who visit the Mahabaleshwar temple. Other than the pilgrims, a huge percentage of tourists every year visit the beaches outside the town. There are four beaches away from the town- Om Beach, Kudle Beach, Half Moon Beach and Paradise Beach. Out of these four the first two are developed while the other two aren’t. The best way to reach Gokarna is to take a flight to Goa and a car drive from Goa to Gokarna.

6.Vishakhapatnam (Vizag) : 11kms away from the town of Vizag lies the famous Rishikonda beach. With its golden sand and hills in the background it becomes a picturesque beach.
