Ireland tourism has showed a remarkable growth by 14% in a mere period of two months. The months between December 2013 to February 2014 saw a rise in tourists, majority of which were from Great Britain.Going by the analysis, out of the whole lot, about 75000 tourist were alone from Great Britain.
Niall Gibbons the chief executive for Tourism Ireland said the year has began on a very promising note and said they are to roll out a global promotional programme. He said this year they will be focusing on the promotion of Wild Atlantic Way, the Causeway Coastal Route,will aim to improve on the major events like Limerick City of Culture, the Grande Partenza of the Giro d’Italia and the Croke Park Classic. The promotion will be during the football season opener by the University of Central Florida in the Penn state.
Tourism Ireland has recently launched a GB trade website for travel agents to assit them in promoting Ireland to their clients and making them informed about what one can do and see in Ireland’s popular cities of Dublin , Belfast and Limerick. The Wild Altantic way is a new touring route that’s become another tourist attraction in Ireland.
