World’s Most Romantic Movie Settings – EVER!

The backdrop and the overall atmosphere that a certain location can give a movie make the story more romantic.

Here are the world’s most romantic places as shown in several romantic flicks:

10th Burgundy, France. This is the biggest wine-producing region in France. Johnny Depp’s Chocolat was extra romantic, thanks to the ambience that the location gives.

9th Bakewell, UK. Remember Jane Austen’s Pride & Prejudice? The historic Chatsworth House located in this part of the world can give you quite a romantic experience.

8th Tokyo, Japan. Lost in Translation featured this location making it easier for Bill Murray and Scarlett Johansson to conduct their soul searching quests.

7th Atlanta, USA. Gone With the Wind film in 1939 starring Oscar Best Actress Vivien Leigh was filmed in Clayton County. Some of the homes, museums, and plantations featured in the movie are still around in Atlanta.

6th Halona Cove, Hawaii. 60 years ago, Burt Lancaster kissed Deborah Kerr for the film From Here to Eternity in Oahu’s Halona Cove. The backdrop in that movie still looks the same up to today.

5th Wicklow Mountains, Ireland. Though it was a tragic love story, Gerald Butler and Hilary Swank still shared a very romantic moment in P.S. I Love You in the rolling green meadows and hills of Ireland.

4th Rome, Italy. Roman Holiday is the first American movie filmed entirely in Italy with Trevi Fountain as one of the highlighted stars in the film. You and your partner can be Audrey Hepburn and Gregory Peck in this romantic location.

3rd New York, USA. The Empire State Building made Meg Ryan and Rom Hanks’ love story more romantic in Sleepless in Seattle.

2nd Paris, France. It is always great to fall in love in Paris, but Before Sunset made everyone wants to go there and experience romance, just like Ethan Hawke and Julie Delpy’s characters.

1st Ngong Hills, Kenya. Out Of Africa has great actors and a great soundtrack, but it can’t be complete without Kenya’s Ngong Hills, which made the Redford-Streep love team seem perfect in the South African backdrop.
