
There are many political assassinations with unanswered questions and remain unresolved to this day. Even in the cases where the assassins were identified, there still remain many questions begging for answers.
Let’s have a look at some of these assassinations:
10. Robert F. Kennedy
Robert F. Kennedy was assassinated on June 5, 1968 just after he had won the California’s Democratic presidential primary. He was shot by Sirhan Sirhan who was later sentenced for life for this crime.
9. Juvenal Habyarimana
On 16th April 1994, a presidential plane carrying Habyarimana, several of his ministers and the president of Burundi, Cyprien Ntaryamira was struck by a pair of surface-to-air missiles when it as just about to touch down at Kigali International Air. Everybody on board died because the plane burst into flames. The plane was from International Airport in Tanzania.
8. William Goebel
William Goebel was shot at on the morning of January 30, 1900 as he was walking toward the Old State Capitol in Frankfort. The shot was fired from a nearby building and it struck him in the chest, wounding him seriously. He died on 3rd February, 1900.
7. Leon Jordan
Leon Jordan was a renowned civil rights leader in the 50’s and 60’s. He co-founded Freedom, Inc. in Kansas City, Missouri.
Jordan was assassinated shortly after 1.00 a.m. as he was leaving a tavern he owned. Three men shot at him thrice before they drove away from the scene. A Remington 12-gauge Wingmaster was later found in the nearby field.
6. Robert Ouko
Robert Ouko was serving as Kenya’s foreign affairs minister under President Daniel Arap Moi in 1990. Ouko mysteriously disappeared from his residence in the village of Koru on February 13, 1990. His badly charred remains were found three days later 6km away from his home. He had been killed by a gun shot in the head and his right leg was broken.
It is theorized that Ouko was murdered in one of President Moi’s residence before his death scene was staged.
